PlainFasting

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

The short version: your fasting data never leaves your device. We don't have accounts, we don't have servers, and we couldn't read your data if we wanted to. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which is the only third party involved — and going Pro removes even that.

Who we are

PlainFasting ("the app") is an intermittent-fasting timer for Android and Wear OS, published by the PlainFasting team. Contact: [email protected].

What the app stores — and where

Everything the app knows is stored locally on your device:

None of this is transmitted to us or anyone else. There is no PlainFasting server. If you pair a Wear OS watch, your plan syncs directly from your phone to your watch over the local device link (Google's Wearable Data Layer) — it does not pass through the internet.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account system, no analytics SDK, and no crash-reporting service operated by us. We cannot see your fasting data, your identity, or your usage.

Advertising (free version only)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Like any ad network, AdMob may collect and process device information — such as advertising ID, IP address, and coarse device signals — to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings, and you can opt out of ad personalization at Google's My Ad Center.

Purchasing PlainFasting Pro (a one-time purchase) removes all ads, and with them the AdMob SDK's activity.

Purchases

Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation that the purchase exists so it can unlock Pro on your device.

Notifications

Window reminders are scheduled and shown locally on your device. They are optional, off by default, and require your explicit permission grant to enable.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included — see "What we collect" above.

Deleting your data

Because everything lives on your device, deleting your data is entirely in your hands: clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. That removes everything, permanently. We hold no copy.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy — for example, if a future feature adds an optional online component — we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. The app itself will never silently start collecting data.
